BridgeBackend

Enum BridgeBackend

Source
pub enum BridgeBackend {
    Embedded,
    Kafka {
        endpoint: String,
    },
    Nats {
        endpoint: String,
    },
}
Expand description

Typed bridge backend selection, resolved from the flat TOML fields.

The TOML wire format deliberately keeps the shipped flat keys (bridge_backend = "kafka" + bridge_endpoint = …): this is a public tool with configs in the field, and a config_version bump that strands them is a hazard. Everything downstream of parsing works with these enums instead — each variant carries its required companions, so “kafka without an endpoint” is unrepresentable once resolved. The per-selector accessors on HarnessConfig (HarnessConfig::bridge and friends) are the SINGLE site that owns the legal-value vocabulary and the required-companion rules; validate() and the daemon’s backend factories both delegate to them (previously the four selectors were Strings whose legal values were enumerated twice, with companion rules spread across four more sites).

Variants§

§

Embedded

Embedded broker persisting under bridge_data_dir.

§

Kafka

Kafka/Redpanda; endpoint is the host:port[,host:port] bootstrap list (not a URL — no scheme check applies).

Fields

§endpoint: String

Bootstrap list, host:port[,host:port].

§

Nats

NATS JetStream; endpoint is a nats:// or tls:// URL.

Fields

§endpoint: String

nats:// or tls:// URL.
